NYC Perfecting Primer

I was very excited when I saw how inexpensive this product was. As soon as I stepped outside I opened it up and made a quick swatch on the back of my hand. I was shocked at how sparkly it was! My first response was to go right back in the store and return it, but I always give products a second chance. I took it home and decided that I would find some use for it. The product claims to minimize lines, mask imperfections, dark circles, and enlarged pores. This product is said to enhance your skin's smoothness and moisturization, it is suppose to last all day, and it is rich with vitamin E. There are some ups and downs about this product. When I first put this product on my face I did notice that my foundation went on more smoothly, but my face was sparkling like a disco ball. The foundation did not really cover up the sparkle, and my pores, imperfections, or dark under eye circles were not masked. This is a very unique product, under some lights you cannot see the shimmer, but under most lights you can. In the pictures below you can see that the camera does not pick up the shimmer very well, but trust me it is very noticeable. The second time I used this product some of it bunched up while I was blending it into my skin, it sort of looked like eraser shavings. Not an attractive feature! After playing around with the primer I decided that I would use the primer as a highlighter instead. Instead of applying it to my entire face I just put it on my cheek area, and occasionally on my eye lids, under my eye brow, and in the inner corners of my eyes. Over all I would not recommend this primer, save your $3.99!

This is what the primer looks like when it first comes out of the tube.

This is the product after a little bit of rubbing in.
